Tulum formalizes alliance with Greether so that female travelers can enjoy the destination with fewer risks
Tulum connects female travelers with local female guides via Greether to enjoy the destination safely
The municipal government of Tulum, Quintana Roo, led by Diego Castañón Trejo, is actively committed to the safety of female travelers.
This is reflected in the recently confirmed partnership with Greether, an innovative travel startup focused on women's empowerment.
Greether's mission, through its digital platform, is to reduce risks for women exploring destinations around the world.
Greether is dedicated to connecting travelers with verified hostesses, known as "Greeters", women passionate about their city who share their enthusiasm and knowledge about local tourist, cultural and natural attractions.
The objectives of this alliance include promoting the participation of local women on the platform, generating additional income for them while reducing risks for travelers, and promoting sustainable tourism in Tulum.
The launch of this platform and the promotional campaign are aimed at both the local public in Tulum and the markets that send travelers internationally.
The General Directorate of Tourism and Economy of the Tulum City Council will present this strategy at the Madrid International Tourism Fair, within the FITUR Woman Forum, an initiative led by Women Leading Tourism (WLT), an international association of successful professional women in the tourism sector.
Greether, currently operates in more than 100 countries and 900 cities worldwide.
