Why did you decide to book a Greeter in Athens?
When I planned my trip, I knew I wanted to make the most of my experience while feeling safe and supported that’s why I chosed to book a Greeter in Athens because it was my first time there and it felt like a good idea to meet someone local and have that connection.

What do you think your Greeter helped you the most with?
My Greeter Lei helped me with figuring out public transportation. She assisted me in buying a multi day pass to use during my stay. And took me to a luggage storage facility to store my things while I waited for check in time. This way we were free to walk and explore. Once we were done she walked back to get my luggage and we rode the metro together all the way to my apartment and she made sure I got in safely.
What was the most valuable part of your experience with your Greeter?
Lei went above and beyond. She met me at the cruise port right as I disembarked and helped me get into the city center, find storage for my bags, and showed me some of the main sights in the area. She even helped me with information on an upcoming bus ride I was taking.
Overall, she was always willing to help find any info I needed. Plus was super friendly and nice.

Were there things your Greeter showed you that made your experience more special?
Lei went above and beyond and met me in the morning when I arrived at the port from a cruise. She showed me some lovely neighborhoods in Athens including Plaka and the Monasteraki area. We saw the changing of the guards and visited a small museum inside a church. She also helped me get my bearings in the city center and gave me recommendations on what to see, do and where to eat. We even had a coffee in a lovely cafe inside a garden that was the perfect quiet spot inside a busy city. Lei was so nice that she gifted me a Polaroid she took of me with a cute frame as well. Thank you Lei!
